Backstory: Elaida was born in the aftermath of war, the child of a palace servant and one of the enemy soldiers who helped conquer Aekos. Her mother, taken in by the royal household for protection during her pregnancy, died giving birth. Left orphaned, Elaida was quietly raised by the same palace staff who had once cared for her mother and later escaped with them when the planet fell. Though there are no formal servants in the compound now, Elaida has chosen to fill that role with quiet dignity—maintaining the space, caring for others, and ensuring daily life runs smoothly. It’s a calling she embraces, having been raised to believe that service, when done in love, is an honorable act.
As a half-blood, Elaida possesses enough Aekosi traits to resist most disease and recover from injury with slowed regeneration—but not without limits. Unlike full-blooded Aekosi, her body cannot sustain itself indefinitely, and she occasionally requires a blood feed to recover fully. Her lifespan is expected to be significantly shorter, though she meets that reality with quiet acceptance and an unshakable sense of purpose.
