A term combining terra (land/world) and mate (companion), used to refer to individuals who share a common planetary origin. Though many races have scattered across the galaxy, most still strongly identify with their native worlds. For example, two individuals from different regions who both originated from Korrith would be considered terramates. The word carries a sense of cultural kinship and shared roots, often used with pride among the diaspora communities of each race.
