(SKELL-ik)
A bioluminescent, semi-transparent amphibian native to the humid, jungle-rich regions of Aekos. Its thin, jelly-like outer membrane reveals faintly glowing internal organs, casting an eerie shimmer in low light. When threatened, the skellic secretes a mild neurotoxin through its skin—enough to deter predators but rarely fatal. While largely avoided as prey, the species is of particular interest to Aekosi alchemists, who harvest its toxin for use in both medicinal treatments and recreational stimulants, depending on the method of refinement.
