Identified by red scannable neck tattoos linked to their ICICLE chips, Gritfolk are denied any opportunities for upward mobility. Interclass relationships with the Civica or Sovereign are heavily stigmatized. For a Sovereign to wed a Gritfolk is more than scandalous; it’s nearly unthinkable.
